RPS FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) Titan™ made by Stratasys USA

A variation of the Rapid Prototyping System is FDM Titan. At present, the Foundry Research Institute in Cracow possesses an RP FDM Titan™ made by Stratasys. Its use enables making parts and elements in a wide range of materials commonly available on the market, to mention just the following ones: ABS /acrylonitrile butadiene styrene/, ABSi /transparent and semi-transparent/, PC /polycarbonate/, PC-ABS /blend/, PC-ISO /medical applications/, PPSF /polyphenylsulphone/.

FDM Titan is a high-performance tool, ideal for creating real parts from concept modelling through prototyping to direct digital manufacturing

Using FDM Titan it becomes possible to quickly manufacture parts from various materials – plastics mainly, which can easily satisfy the imposed requirements of mechanical strength, aesthetics and quality. On FDM Titan machines one can effectively produce useful parts of complex geometry, which will have sufficient strength in functional tests - ergonomy, and in end uses– object visualisation, making dies, prototype testing, etc.
